What is DAY BY DAY?
DAY BY DAY is a West Coast Canadian apparel and lifestyle brand created for gentle, creative souls seeking meaningful pieces of comfort and expression along their wellness journey.
Every product is one of a kind or crafted in small batches locally. We view each item as a reflection of individuality, a form of creative and artistic self-expression rooted in our shared human experience. What we wear and surround ourselves with has the power to offer comfort, spark connection, and inspire hope.
The name DAY BY DAY is a reminder to slow down, breathe, reflect, and return to the present. So often, we worry about things that may never happen. But by taking things one day at a time, with consistency and intention, we begin to notice gradual, steady progress toward the life we’re trying to build.
Through this platform, we aim to support healing and growth by advocating for mental wellness, and helping to break the stigma around mental health.
DAY BY DAY is situated within the traditional and unceded territories of the Lekwungen speaking peoples: the Songhees, the Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations.

Hi, it's Eugenie.
I’m the founder and creator of DAY BY DAY.
Since childhood, I’ve loved dressing up and making things with my hands. That creative spark led me to study Fashion Design and Technology, and eventually building a career in the apparel industry across Vancouver and Paris.
But after the early passing of my father during my young adulthood, I began to lose my sense of self. I silently carried unprocessed grief, trauma, depression, and anxiety — without realizing I needed help, or that I could even ask for it. I stayed busy, constantly moving, until the COVID-19 pandemic forced everything to slow down. That’s when I had to face my burnout, and the internal struggles I’d been avoiding.
I began therapy. I started learning how to regulate my emotions and work through pain I’d buried for years. Slowly, I began to see light again.
In late 2021, I started DAY BY DAY as both a creative outlet and a space to share my healing journey. It’s a collection of multidisciplinary art, clothing, and home goods made with intention — and with a deep belief that healing is possible, one day at a time.
